• Teck ChiaDirector at Binance X

    Teck Chia leads Binance X, an initiative to foster innovation on the Binance platform and the general ecosystem at large. Before that, he has played the role of an investor, entrepreneur, product manager and software engineer at companies like Facebook and Oracle.  He discovered Bitcoin in 2012 and founded HashTrust.com, a smart contracts platform on Bitcoin. Teck holds a BSc. and MEng. in Computer Science from Cornell University.

    Dal 1995 in Rai, inizia l’attività giornalistica nella redazione di Rai 2 L’Altra Edicola, formandosi televisivamente alla scuola Format di Giovanni Minoli, per cui lavorerà a Mixer. Nel 1998 è inviata di cronaca nella rubrica del TG1 Prima. Sotto la direzione di Albino Longhi passa a TV7 e Speciale TG1, seguendo i principali fatti di cronaca italiana e realizzando speciali in Etiopia, Niger (dove ha realizzato reportages sull’espansione dell’Islam fondamentalista), Nigeria (dove ha intervistato in esclusiva Safya, la donna condannata alla lapidazione per adulterio), Sudafrica, Cambogia (dove ha realizzato documentari storici e sul traffico di bambini) e Germania (sul neonazismo nell’ex Germania est). Per Rai Educational (oggi Rai Cultura) ha prodotto e realizzato reportages sulle colonie francesi in Africa. Ha collaborato con Unomattina nel periodo di conduzione di Monica Maggioni, Porta a Porta e Chi l’ha visto? nell’edizione condotta da Federica Sciarelli. Nel 2004 Clemente Mimun la porta nella redazione cronaca del TG1, dove la assume nel 2006. Segue le principali inchieste di cronaca nera e giudiziaria italiana e i misteri d’Italia. Gianni Riotta le affida la conduzione del TG1 e la rubrica Italia Italie da lei proposta sui temi dell’immigrazione.

    Lavora per le rubriche Tv7 e Speciale TG1, con particolare attenzione alla divulgazione scientifica, alla filosofia, politica e economia digitale. Ha iniziato nella carta stampata, dai giornali circoscrizionali La Quarta e Il Quirino, poi Il Giornale, L’Opinione, Diario, Sette del Corriere. Collabora con Italiana, Il Foglio, Panorama, Formiche su temi di politica, economia, società digitali
    Ha realizzato servizi di economia e finanza sui fondi sovrani negli Emirati Arabi Uniti, cyberwar alla NATO di Bruxelles, politiche digitali e start up in Silicon Valley, Pittsburgh, Israele, Singapore, UAE, Giappone intervistando Accademici e ricercatori nei laboratori delle principali Università del mondo. Ha collaborato con le rubriche TG1 Storia e TG1 Dialogo, curate da Roberto Olla. Ha condotto per Rai 1 l’edizione 2013 del Premio Luchetta. È stata membro del consiglio direttivo del think tank Vedrò, segue l’attività di altri pensatoi italiani (Aspen, Formiche, Italiacamp).

    Relatrice e docente ai corsi di formazione su digitale e cybersecurity per: dirigenti in aziende partecipate italiane; multinazionali americane; forze armate alla scuola di Chiavari, servizi segreti alla Link Campus University, Cyber e Politica all’Università di Tel Aviv e al corso LUISS per dirigenti della Pubblica Amministrazione.
    Dal 2017 è autrice e conduttrice per Rai 1 la trasmissione Codice, approfondimento sulle società digitali, il web, la tecnologia.

    I started my career at one of the first e-money institutions in the UK – Skrill (now Paysafe), leading teams of payment professionals across several different countries. After eight great years at Skrill, I moved to head the operations at the first e-money institution in Malta, focusing on building up a payment platform in line with regulatory and card scheme requirements. I have been forming regular part of the national risk and compliance initiatives in Malta, such as the National Risk Assessment sessions, MONEYVAL meetings and consultations organized by local and foreign regulatory and law enforcement bodies overseeing the transposition and application of Anti Money-Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing regulations.

    I joined Binance in August 2018, heading the operations in Malta and looking after the successful launch of the crypto to fiat exchange and other local initiatives.

    Jovan Gavrilovic is the General Manager of Europe at OKCoin, one of the world’s leading fiat-focused digital asset marketplaces, where he is responsible for implementing the company’s expansion into Europe.
